Amazon Village Jungle Lodge

The Amazon Village is one of the first Lodges to open in the Manaus region and it is located in the middle of the jungle far from the city 30 Km (18,75 miles).
It consists of rustic wooden bungalows in complete integration with nature, where the scents, the sounds and the sights are all at hand.
We bring with us years of experience in the jungle accommodation, respecting the environment and with the concept to share this with the guests, offering packages with guided tours and excursions.

Localization of the Amazon Village Jungle Lodge

The Amazon Village is located 30km (18.75 miles) from Manaus, on the banks of Puraquequara Lake, upstream Puraquequara River. Because of the acid water pH, mosquitoes and viruses which cause dengue, cholera, yellow fever, etc. may not proliferate in the area.

CLASSIFICATION / LODGING / ACCOMMODATION:

The Amazon Village is classified as “Special Ecological Lodging” by Embratur – The Brazilian Tourism Bureau. The Village consists of a central “open air” lodge surrounded by 12 bungalows, most of them with two separate rooms.

There are 29 apartments, all with mosquito screens, two single beds, private bathroom with hot water shower, fan and veranda with a hammock. The maximum capacity is of 58 guests in double rooms. No air conditioning in the apartments.

Electricity for the Amazon Village is supplied by the city of Manaus and interruptions may occur due to strong winds that can knock down tree branches and affect the transmission line. Guests will and an emergency flashlight in the room. In case of a storm, we request that immediately turn off the lights in the room. Whenever you leave the room or when sleeping, please turn off the lights and blow out the candle if it is lit.
