Location & Transfer

Amazon Village is located 30km (18.75 miles) from Manaus, on the banks of Puraquequara Lake, upstream Puraquequara River. Because of the high acid water pH, mosquitoes may not proliferate in the area.

Leaving Manaus by boat is the only way to get to the Amazon Village.

A car will pick up the guests at either the Airport or Hotel and take them to the CEASA port for embarkation. The trip on board a local speed boat takes about 1 1/2 hour and passes by the “Meeting of the Waters” and continues edging one of the side of the Rio Negro to the Lodge. The transfer is in itself already a rather enjoyable experience.
