The Amazon Village, inaugurated in 1985, is one of the first lodges to open in the Manaus region. Situated on the banks of the serene Puraquequara Lake, about 30 km (19 miles) from the city, it offers a unique experience of immersion in the Amazon. Here, you will be transported to a world of tranquility and natural beauty, far from the fast pace of urban life.
Classified as “Special Ecological Lodging” by Embratur – The Brazilian Tourism Bureau, the Amazon Village consists of a central open-air lodge surrounded by 12 rustic wooden bungalows, most of them with two separate rooms. Designed in harmony with nature, the accommodations allow guests to feel part of the forest, where the scents, sounds, and sights of the jungle are always present.
The lodge has always been well-known for its off-grid approach, although rooms are now equipped with an electric fan and a warm-water shower. Electricity for the Amazon Village is supplied by the city of Manaus, and interruptions may occur due to strong winds that can knock down tree branches and affect the transmission line. Guests will find an emergency flashlight in the room.
Because of the acidic water pH, mosquitoes and viruses such as dengue, cholera, or yellow fever may not proliferate in the area.
With many years of experience in jungle accommodation, we respect the environment and share this concept with our guests.
We offer a variety of three- and four-days accommodation packages that allow you to explore the rainforest, experience the local fauna and flora, and a sample regional cuisine. Our packages include activities such as jungle treks, lake boat trips, recreational fishing, night tours, and much more.
We invite you to join us and experience the magic of the Amazon. At Amazon Village Jungle Lodge, an unforgettable adventure is waiting for you.
